Bright blessings to you this holiday

You walk
out of the office
it’s a little colder
than you thought

You think
about the things
that didn’t get done
today
and the things
that have to get done
tomorrow

And then

You look up at the stars

And you remember

It’s not about meetings,
faxes or quotas
e-mail, voice mail
or proposals

It’s about your family,
good friends

And finding a moment of peace
under a starlit sky

I am reading: Steinberg - Sun-Times

Yes our families and friends are blessings…
And everything else is just holiday dressings.
But first and foremost is the King of all Kings -
That the angels will cry out to as they sing:
“Our Savior is born this Christmas Day -
His tiny baby Jesus body is laid in the hay!”
(Oops! that sounded like a Ricky Bobby quote.)
Honestly it was me who thought it and wrote.
So enjoy, be safe and especially LOVE those all around you -
Or Our “Dear Lord baby Jesus; or as our brothers in the south call you ‘Jesuz’” will hound you!
