We've been censored.
I thought we lived in America. But in the Land of Moe, no dissenting opinions are allowed.
Moe has removed us from his blog roll. I discovered it this morning and sent him the following text message:
"You deleted my blog from your list. Nice."
His reply?
"Until after the election...I don't promote anger and bitterness."
Anger? Bitterness?
This, from the whiner who cries censorship if he has to wait more than five minutes for me to publish his comments?
From the guy who, just yesterday, was ready to sword fight with some nail-clipping schmoe in the sauna?
From a guy who nearly gets his ass kicked on a golf course because some golfer is taking too many practice swings?
Moe invented anger and bitterness.
So it's not surprising that he's also a closet Communist.
But Chairman
So what say you, comrades? Are we deleting him from our blogs, too?
Or are we gonna take the high road, be charitable, and show Moe what true blue Americans are all about?

I was never on Moe's blogroll. I think it's because I'm not a chick.
So I have not been censored... I have been shunned. I have been judged and have been found wanting.
Not sure whether Dave was on his blogroll or not.
The Founding Fathers believed that everyone had a right to speak their mind (Freedom of Speech) and be as bitter as they wanted. That is why they all got on boats and paddled their asses to North America, the King wasn't letting them be negative against him.
So in this election season it is time to remember where we all came from, the freedoms we enjoy and show thanks for opposing opinions.
I don't think I was ever listed. I had noticed that I hadn't heard from him lately in the comments.
I suppose I'll go the high road, the First Amendment doesn't work as Moe isn't a government, except possibly in his own mind.
I'm bitter? A liberal? I guess I'm also delusional.
Hey! Post my comment!
I think that if you are not angry and bitter, you have not been paying attention. Rock it, sister!
I understand Moe's point and his message. Hedy you are a gifted and talented writer, and most often your articles are intelligent and thought provoking. Then you write about politics. It's not your opinions that offend me, in fact I share your opinions on most issues. Rather it's the manner in which you communicate those opinions. To use one of your own expressions from a recent blog, you come off as a caterwauling shrew.
I think you're better than that.
Yikes. The truth hurts. When I get done massaging my bruised ego, I'll figure out the lesson in all of this. In the mean time, Happy Monday to you, too.
Hedy my dear,
I just added you to my blog; not because Moe removed your "anger & bitter filled" blog but because you own 'the' robot! Not just a robot, but 'the' robot! How cool is that?!

Hedy, this is your blog, and you are free to do whatever you want with it. If you come across as angry and undiplomatic, so be it. You just have to decide if that's what you are trying to do.
As for claims of censorship, I have committed a great many subconscious resources to evaluating that claim and have concluded conclusively that you have not been 'censored'. Moe did not come to your site and change your words.
Instead, he has simply voted with his feet, as it were. Which is his right, seeing as The Palm Isle is his blog, and it is his right to decide what he wants to do with it.
I personally think that you have the same tone when you write about religion as when you write about politics as when you write about your bad back. You are irreverent. You are not diplomatic. You are unapologetic. I still have you in my blogroll.
But I assume that my readers are intelligent enough to come to their own conclusions about what or how they feel about you.
For whatever that's worth.
Hedy
I for one will miss him. His inane attempts at college humor and his self absorbed righteous indignation were constant sources of amusement for me. And his hypocrisy does not bother me because unlike him... I know we are all hypocrites.
And more than him... we understand this... The only way to make sure people you agree with can speak is to support the rights of people you don't agree with.
Moe has a lot to learn... but you MUST NOT take him off your blog list. You may want to put him in your brand new "We’ve Been Banned By" category.
Chin up... remember what Orwell said – "In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act."
