Okay, Sarah Palin is a lying little bitch. With a stinky crotch.
Well, maybe not that last part. But she's no good with the facts, that's for sure.
Please read this. And this. Oh, and this.
This is why we should never rely on our 'feelings' when it comes to political candidates. We need to investigate their background, their accomplishments, their ethics.
I broke my own rule. Never again.
Also: Here's a huge, heartfelt apology for Taxman. I'm sorry, sir. Feel better.

Can you please rename this blog...
CRANKY, WHINY LEFT WING, PINKO COMMIE EXPERIENCE!
Thank You!
Love,
Moe
You're just pissed off about the stinky crotch thing, aren't ya? Get over it, Moe. Your girl's a liar and she's going down. And not in a good way.
Why waffles?
I still don't like her--plus-maybe because I'm a mom but when she claims she's PROLIFE okay, we get that.
But then when interviewed in regards to her daughters pregnancy she says,*not verbatim:* this decision to have a child was up to my daughter, it was her choice...
So am I just nitpicking because to me she's saying she's for choice without being detailed that's how I see it.
hunter!
don't like that.
I read your blog a lot (usually on my feed reader, sorry) and comment little. I was surprised to read your last post. I had a completely different read on Palin's speech, but admittedly I had read of her positions (the ones that are known, anyway) in advance and found no common ground with my own political views. Anyone that the religious right is enthralled with is probably not going to sit well with me. Plus, I do not believe that a male with her resume would have gotten any serious consideration for the VP slot, and that just makes me mad. Women should not be denied a position because they are female, but they should not get one for that sole reason either. That hurts the rest of us that got where we are because we earned it and were qualified.
Hey Crusty - waffles because I waffled on Sarah Palin (and within 24 hours, to boot). Yikes. Not on my game this week at all.
Fermicat - Thank you for reading and for providing the most insightful comment on this topic all week. The whole thing bugs me and you put it into words perfectly. Thanks again for being here.
And in Moe's response we see the mentality of the Republican elite... lol... it is indeed time for a change...
O'Gromit
Hedy, umm, in case you didn't know...umm...they're all liars!
Palin on Sodium Pentothal
EXECUTIVE DECIDER
I got 616 votes and became and mayor of my town Wassila and that’s when I became an executive decision maker and at the same time, more qualified than Barak Obama.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
Truthfully! Total government expenditures increased 63% under me. At least that’s what the Wasilla Comprehensive Annual Financial Report 2003, Table 1 says.
And candidly speaking, I slashed funding for schools for special needs kids by 62%. But hey, I supported increasing Wasilla sales tax from 2 to 2.5 percent to build $14.7 Million Sports Center.
I also left behind almost $19 million In long-term debt, compared to none before I was mayor.
THE BRIDGE
And one time I was asked about the bridge to nowhere… I was asked “Would you continue state funding for the proposed Knik Arm and Gravina Island bridges?” I said, “Yes. I would like to see Alaska's infrastructure projects built sooner rather than later. The window is now--while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist." And I did say don’t allow “spinmeisters” to turn bridge to nowhere project into something that’s so negative.
The citizens of Ketchikan AK were probably right when they said “she had supported the bridge and the earmark for it secured by Alaska's Congressional delegation during her run for governor… and then when she found it was politically advantageous for her nationally, abruptly she starts using the very term that she said was insulting.”
EARMARKS
And I guess I left some things out when I said that, ‘I championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress.” Truthfully my state has requested $589 million on pork since I took office and as mayor. Also now that we’re on the subject, Alaska has sought 31 Earmarks worth $197.8 Million in next year’s federal budget.
And while we’re at it mayor of Wasilla, I made regular trips to Washington seeking federal aid. The city received $26.9 million in earmarks during my tenure from fiscal year 2000 to 2003.
Frankly, John McCain even poo poo’d my earmarking. Three times in recent years, his catalogs of "objectionable" spending have included earmarks requested by me. In 2001, his list of spending that had been approved without the normal budget scrutiny included a $500,000 earmark for a public transportation project in Wasilla. He also targeted $1 million in a 2002 spending bill for an emergency communications center in town -- one that local law enforcement has said is redundant and creates confusion. McCain also criticized $450,000 set aside for an agricultural processing facility in Wasilla that was requested during my tenure as mayor and cleared Congress soon after I left office in 2002.
THE SPOIL OF OIL
I might not have told the whole truth when I said, “… despite fierce opposition from oil company lobbyists, who kind of liked things the way they were, we broke their monopoly on power and resources.”
Actually my Lt. Governor is a former oil lobbyist. And he actually hired Wasilla’s first federal lobbyist… a guy who worked for Ted Stevens. And my oil & gas appointee is a former lobbyist for TransCanada. TransCanada is one of the companies bidding for a state license to build a pipeline to carry gas to market from Alaska’s North Slope. And honestly my former chief of staff was once Ted Stevens’ campaign manager.
LOBBY HOBBY
Also, as Mayor, I hired a Washington lobbyist to help get earmarks for Wasilla – and true enough he was a former Chief of Staff for Indicted Senator Ted Stevens. And as mayor of the small town of Wasilla from 1996 to 2002, I also hired a Washington lobbying firm that helped secure $8 million in earmarks and the firm was headed by Steven Silver - a former chief of staff to Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens and a key proponent of the bridge project.”
Oh well… all this truth telling is making me tired… can I have a Mooseburger please?
Gromit
In a Nutshell
