Tim Russert dead at 58

He was more excited than any of us about this year's presidential election. He was my Sunday morning ritual. A truly great American journalist.

And a truly great American, period.

Unbelievably sad.

He was one of a kind, and will be missed by all. No replacement for him. Love, Mom

I know! And 58 seems terribly young and a bit tragic to me.

Who, and I mean who, will be able to come close to filling his shoes?

It strikes me that he probably woke up this morning wondering what would be the news of the day... and it was himself.
Sad.
I'm guessing Chris Matthews slides into his seat...
