A sign from Rod
So I don't know about your state, but here in Illinois, we've been feeling rather criminalicious lately.
We've got one governor in Federal prison (Ryan) and another on the way (Blago).
Here's what really bugs me about all this gubernatorial turnover: The signs.
Crossing into Illinois from Indiana or Wisconsin, you'll see a sign that reads something like this:
Welcome to Illinois. Rod R. Blagojevich, Governor
And if you're paying your way through on our toll roads, you'll see these signs:
Open Road Tolling. Rod R. Blagojevich, Governor
Here's an open request to our spankin' new dude, Governor Pat Quinn:
Whaddaya say we shit-can the self-promoting signage until we're certain you're not heading for the slammer?
Deal?
Thanks so much.

I think the names should all be replaced by pictures of me. I've been guiding state policy for years.
As of this morning, Quinn has already ordered the signs removed and crews have already begun taking them down.
Cost to erect those signs: $480k.
Cost to remove: about the same. Better part of $1 mil spent so Blago could see his name in lights during the rare times he didn't take the state plane down to Springfield.
It looks like the cost to remove my person's name from the signs is only going to be around $15,000.

Imagine how many styling products you could buy for 15k?
RE: Blago
I want to hear every one of those tapes. At minimum he has the right to hear them in court. I mostly want to hear every word spoken by Rahm Emanuel. Blago is a power monger to be sure. But I’ll bet a bisquit to a doggie treat that he did nothing more than any other politician has been doing on a daily basis. He just got taped doing it. Why? And what triggered the FBI to tape him? I don’t know… do you?
I do know he has not been convicted of anything. And we all have the right to slam him in the court of public opinion. BUT… it scares me a bit to see how our free press has been jumping the gun and convicting this loudmouth.
Early prediction: Ten years from now Blago will be respected for taking a stand and trying to tell the WHOLE story… whatever that is… only time will tell.
